The Myth of Rational Voter

I think the important and practical question to ask is would you prefer the marginal unit of decision making be given to basically like your average elite or your average voter. I mean this is one where when I wrote the myth of rational voter I would be have been very clear with definitely go with elites more. At this point like after COVID that was so awful. Right. So the end of the day once you actually look at how bad the views of the typical person are then yeah I've got to say yeah I guess elites are less bad even though they've got a ton of problems.
