Tom Hudner and Jesse Ridgeway
Tom Hudner grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts which at the time was a wealthy place it had Manufacturing. His father and his grandfather before him had founded a grocery store chain Hudner's markets. He saw George go off to become a naval aviator and Tom said I want to do the same thing. So he applied he got into the Academy but the war ended as they say just a few months Too soon for him to see combat so he kind of missed what he saw as an opportunity. The bond that eventually brought these two men together made them so close. They both wanted the same thing to be professionals to be naval avators and to do something for their countryI mean it was
