A Look at Walter Freeman's Life
Robert Evans: Walter Freeman graduated from high school when he was just 16 years old. He immediately started attending classes at Yale, but completely miserable. His initial degree program was engineering, but this track was disrupted after he ate a bad batch of raw clams and caught typhoid fever. The long months he spent at hospitals and sick beds helped Walter realize that he wanted something different out of life.
