I went to Norway for a holiday because I was interested in the story of the attack on the heavy water factory and came away with an understanding that there was a survival story involved. The BBC didn't want to do it, and I had to convince them to do it. We engaged the services of two Romeran mountain leaders, brilliant guys, and two Norwegian special forces. We tasked them with the prospect of reliving the experience of the Grouse party.
