Migration has an impact on inequality, but the fundamentally unequal society itself impacts migration. There is this dual aspect to migration. One is because of aspiration and the that is permanent migration. The other is because of compulsion, when there are no jobs. So because these two types of migration are very different, they needet to be treated differently.
