I See That P as My Reason for Judgment That P
It's difficult to see how it succeeds in providing the latter with an independent warrant. In suitable circumstances, giving I see that P is generally a way of indicating how I am in a position to affirm that P. But this fall short of McDowell's claim that the judgment that P is a response to an experiential state with the same propositional content which constitutes an indefeasible warrant for it.
