How would a runner assess their own recovery to know, hey, maybe I should actually be skipping this interval session today and I'll just do my long run this week? It really helps to have more running experience because this is a trial and error kind of a situation. If you wake up in the morning and your legs are so tight and sore that you're worried you're not going to be able to go running, that's a big warning sign. We should never run through anything that gets worse as we run. So don't try to compensate for any discomfort by changing your form.
