Group B got pretty much the same lecture, but it framed depression along these evolutionary lines. It's effectively your brain's wake up call that something in your life isn't going well and needs more attention. And what they found is that the people who got this, um, depression as an evolved signal framing actually tended to do better. They'd score a fire on these various measures of well-being. The agency point seems like a really big point to me. Um, yeah, it just feels like an idea that it's very demoralizing, makes you feel in your top.
