In 19 93, four years before and handed over control of hong kong to china, caloon walled city was demolished. In the seventies and eighties, when the end of the new territories lease was on the horizon, britain and china began to figure out what it meant for the future of hongkong. After three quarters of a century of ambiguity from both countries, they finally agreed on an eviction process.
