The Husband's Disappointment
There is a turning point in the book where suddenly you realize that there have been other things going on, so you're just seeing what you want her to see. There are passages in the book without giving anything away where things happen that haven't happened and it's very clear that they haven't happened. So you know the book is playing with you at times. I wouldn't want to give the impression this is kind of, as it were, just hates men. It doesn't.
