The Differences Between Mark and John on Jesus' Divinity
Mark is our earliest gospel, almost universally thought almost to be our first gospel written around the year 70s. In Mark's gospel, Jesus hardly ever says anything about himself. And in John, he gives extended discourses, and his discourses are almost exclusively about who he is. He has come down from the Father and he's going to return to the Father, but he's of equal status with God.
