Katie had finally started dating someone new and confided in this new boyfriend about a violent rape she endured at the hands of an ex-boyfriend, AK Adam. Authorities later theorized that Katie didn't think that the new boyfriend would drag her into his car and personally drive her to the police station - which he did. She also never mentioned to the police that Adam's place was filled with people the day of the alleged rape. A lot of people felt a little cold retaliation about this but the police were going to investigate anyway.
