Buddhists see the naturalistic and supernatural parts of their religion as part of one framework. In Buddhism, there's a lot of emphasis on the role of craving in leading us to recurring states of dissatisfaction. And so I guess I'm wondering if it should give us pause to say that all of these naturalistic parts are right on? "They have an impressive kind of record of being astute and on target," he says.
