Are We Really Good at Calculating Basian Probabilities?

Humans are not very good at calculating basian probabilities. But our brain is an ideal basin operator at the sub personal level. And there are some beautiful experiments, which i shall probably insist on describing now, demonstrating that. We don't care about the different senses - we just want to know what's out there and we use all the information we can get. The only frame in which decisions are modified by this type of decision-making is if you say one thousand people will die unless a new treatment saves 400 lives. Or even worse: You could kill 600 people who have already died but still be able to save 1,000 more because they've had their life expectancy cut from 20 years
