Bitcoin Prediction Markets Can Cause a Lot of Damage, Right?

I think prediction markets are great signal, but they can also cause a lot of damage because we can't trust the markets. So I guess my question would then be, first of all, what damage can they do? And second, what are you going to do about it then? Like this is something anyone can do. You can fudge the market, right? Look at the amount of people that lost money following Craig Wright and following Georgia Ver. There's many ways for you to sway the market, aside from just tweeting at people.
