Ira's Role in the Creation of Earth Day
The first Earth Day was a smashing success. Nearly 20 million people participated, and many more were exposed to its message through the news. Later that year, President Nixon signed an executive order creating the Environmental Protection Agency. Ira continued telling lies to further elevate his professional image in the early 1970s. As always, he was on the hunt for ways to become more popular and influential.
