Air Mail Contracts - The Big Four Airlines in Time
In the late 19 twenties, some of the companies got they were sick of the competition. They started lobbying congress to restrict competition. It took aa present hoover as postmaster general who got some legislation pass but then he went beyond the legislation and divided all the airmail routes between the three companies. This gave way to the big four airlines in time. But it was too late to to put th toth face back in the tube at some point.
