CHAPTER

The Emergence of Chinese Influence Over Eurasia

There's so much to explain sort of this emerging Chinese web of influence over Eurasia. What you're describing seems in large part not overt use of military force or coercion but the use of economic leverage and increasingly diplomatic and political leverage. I'm curious two things. How do you see the emergence of China as expressed in Eurasia impacting its relationship with the United States? And secondly, if there is a world in which China is the dominant player or a far more dominant player for many many countries in Europe, Africa and elsewhere in Asia. What might such a world look like in terms of how countries handle dealing with China as a preamined power.
