Swiss neurosurgeons and researchers succeeded in reinvigorating patients' limbs with electrical stimulation to the lower spine. They've been continuing their work since treating more patients, but also digging into the science of what's happening biologically as damaged nerves develop a fresh ability to communicate from brain to muscle. We observed how the normal spinal cord is activated when you walk and we try to mimic the same thing with the electricity.
