Housing is embedded into an interplay of commodification and decomodification. Political struggles are absolutely crucial to the political dynamics that enable or disable gentrification. I'm certainly not the first one who understands that policies are important for housing. So my book is meant as a tool that assists readers in exactly doing this, paying attention to commodification and decommolification.
