Electric Cars - Should We Oppose These Technologies Outright?

We need to double down on our fossil fuel use, because it doubles down on american prosperity. I like the idea of a lot of people driving electric cars so that we can ease our dependence on the middle east. These are going to be driven by the market regardless. Don't oppose any of these technologies outright. They should compete in a fair and free market place. But i will say i oppose electric vehicles for a very different and cultural reason. It kind of scares me. From a culture, absolutely yes.
