Creating a New Way of Doing Things
Many of the most innovative people came from completely different worlds and because of that they had this fresh pair of eyes. The founder of Square was an artist and he said well why does it cost so much money to process a credit card and then he ended up creating Square. So I think there's definitely merit to that. And maybe designing from scratch completely radical new ways of doing things is a real big benefit if you don't necessarily come from within that system.
