The Tension Between Markets and the State

I'm a huge fan of capitalism, but we let it become unbalanced. There's always this tension between markets and the state in every society. People who are more conservative like less government and more market. But what we've gone through in the last 50 years is an ideology that said free markets can do it on their own. We don't need government at all. In fact, that famous phrase here in the US, the best government is one that you drown in the bathtub.
