What Is Mass Migration?

A migrant is a person who moves from one place to another, especially in order to find work or better living conditions. When you talk about an immigrant or immigration, that is the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country. If you're talking about people leaving the US to go to a different country, you'd say they're immigrating. Another term that gets used a lot is refugee. But legally and politically, when we talk about refugees and asylum seekers, we are talking about people who flee their home.
