Dodgson's the Battle for the Soul
Carol Dodgson's work as a logician enters into his religion. He could not reconcile the idea that an all loving God would infinitely punish someone for necessarily finite sin. So so many, so many aspects of his life that don't on the surface seem to be religious like teaching logic he actually applies to his faith life. When he was on his death bed he wanted his sisters to sing a him to him where the refrain is I will be done and he very much wanted to do what he thought God had in store for him.
