Is the Bank of England Trying to Control Inflation?

If you were the Bank of England governor right now, what would be your anger level? I'd imagine that they're incredibly irritated right now. The government have been doing quite a lot of sniping and bashing at the bank for failing to get inflation under control. You've got a government who are in charge of fiscal policy and I think pretty much going insane with this budget.
