You've Been a Political Scientist for a Long Time?
i was a student of allan bloom's in at the university, so i read a lot of philo ophy. And then when i was in college, the french a structuralis post moderns wave hit. I actually spent time in paris studying with jacques erida and a rolonbart. So i've had scisophranic background, moving from both very abstract, academic kinds of issues to very practical ones in recent years. A, you know, i'm not just interested in partisan politics. I've never worked on a campaign. But it's very hard to not be quite preoccupied with...the partisan struggle in the united states to day.
