How to Define Jobs to Be Done

The jobs to be done definition canvas is designed to help you define the market you are in or have chosen to serve, as a group of people plus the job they're trying to get done. The market definition canvas works for both B2C and B2B applications. While it is optimized to define single-sided markets, it can be used twice to define both sides of a double-sided market. For component manufacturers who sell to OEMs or who are at the top of a long distribution chain, a canvas can be completed for each constituent including the end user.
