The Handmaiden Is Not the Point of the Movie

"There's so many layers to this in terms of what is happening and it's told in such a way," says the actor. "I'm not invested in these two i'm not looking for jang song or cutesy names  i am interested in the way that they are fueling one another's lives in pretty destructive ways yeah um but the romance is never something that i feel is presented to me as an active point i should care about It's fuel right for the things that are interesting in the movie", he adds.
