The Importance of Choosing the Right Price for Your Product

The difference between being free and a 49 cent app is transformative and radically so. As soon as you can get the marginal cost of your product to zero, it's fundamentally different than if it is any non-zero number. The other lesson I've learned to me if I'm like putting together my rules for indie development is to spend your time on things that uniquely differentiate your product rather than things that your user will take for granted. You're not going to be wildly successful unless you are wildly successful with it in which case you have all kinds of problems.
