Are Revolutions That Revolutionary?

Small step evolutions tend to get overlooked because they are not very exciting. But they lead to weyh more chainge than the thrilling, noisy, flag waving, beheading types of revolution that we all love to read about. I think it's broadly true that revolutions tend to overhaul society a little bit less than we might suppose. It would be nice if everyone could just agree to move those few inches without inflicting those years of pain and violence on each other. Some conflicts, unfortunately, can only be settled in blood.
