The NBA has a famously tough travel schedule. One of the problems with the NBA is like huge drop offs in performance and big increases in injury risk as the season wears on. With Tinder, they could just like basically have an assistant hit up people on Tinder and say like, hey, I want to come back to my room after the game. They estimated that it let people get about an extra hour or two of sleep after away games because they weren't having to go out and chat up girls at the bar.
