The Rockland Lighthouse

The rockland lighthouse had been referred to as a stag station, meaning that the light keepers lived there alone. Emma pondered those close quarters as she walked carefully around the keeper's house and the brick portion of the lighthouse emerging on the other side. She stood in front of the light tower, leaning on the metal railing and gazing out over the water. It was a uniquely immersive experience being surrounded on three sides by water that was so close by. As she watched a ferry slowly chugged by, the people outside waved slowly at her, and she smiled and waved back.
