The Story of Charlie Dreyer and the Loss of Philosophy of the World

The story goes that Austin paid for a thousand copies of their record, Philosophy of the World, to be pressed. Producer Charlie Dreyer disappeared along with 900 copies of the album never to be seen again. The only reason Dreyer had possessed them was because Austin never bothered to claim the goods. It's conceivable that at some point, since they were taking up valuable space, they simply tossed in a dumpster.
