The Role of Converts in the History of Christianity

Some converts try to do so incognito just by going to a place where they hope nobody knows them, Jews or Christians. But there are also cases where converts approach Jewish authorities wanting to repent and return. And we have Rashba and Ritva for example, chiming in on what kind of public penance is required of such individuals. There are these sort of performed and very physical and embodied rituals that were in place to move individuals from Christianity back into Judaism.
