Are We Worried About Nuclear War?

I'm at least 50x more worried about nuclear war than some of the EA people I know who are more worried about AGI. So I think nuclear war, just general warfare, is a larger risk than AGI is. A major nuclear war is unlikely to kill each and every human being on planet Earth. But I think it would wipe out civilization as we know it,. And I don't think there's an obvious path toward recovery. We're much more vulnerable to all these other existential risks, like a comet, a asteroid might come, and we have something only a bit above its dominant age existence.
