We've Evolved the Capacity for Cooperation

Humans became human around a hundred thousand years ago. The capacity for deep, deep co operation enabled us to build these enormous societies that we live in and to defend ourselves against other societies. We've also evolved the capacity to pass information on from one in individual to the next, but also from one generation to the next. Those are very human traits which have distinguished our lineage as well as those of our closest relatives such as chimps or bonobos.
