Does the Open Records Law Really Vary?
There are open records, open meetings laws that vary widely from state to state. These are often interpreted by attorneys general at the state level for public interest reasons. Massachusetts has been accused of conducting de facto surveillance operations against Arab and Muslim American groups. Some other states are much better; Texas is kind of a mixed bag.
