Science Needs to Encourage Snotching

Science has a very strong culture of confidentiality, in part because siencis don't want to get scooped by somebody else. But i think science overall, with a capital ss, needs to say, look, if you see something that's really unethicalyou have a duty to report it. They need not just say you should report it, but they should give you some relatively easy way to do it.
