The Danes and the Normans

The Danish fleet stopped assisting the rebellion, and instead took part in some light raiding on their former allies as they waited for spring. The English were locked into a land battle against a mounted force with superior numbers. According to William's hype men, this situation was so bad that barely any Danes made it back to Denmark. But of course, those lucky few who did spoke of how powerful William and the Normans were. And then I assume everybody clapped.
