IELTS or TOEFL - Is There a Correlation?

A lot of these tests that universities and governments accept as a proof of level of English are fundamentally flawed. There's very little evidence that shows that high scores on an exam like IELTS or TOEFL is equivalent to good academic results in university. But, you know, I don't want to be cynical. It's very difficult to change an industry when there's so much money to make.
