The Ark of the Covenant Becomes Its Own Character

The Ark of the Covenant becomes almost its own character in chapter three and four. The priests are supposed to go right up to the threshold of the Jordan River. When they dip their feet in the river, the river is going to stand up in a heap. And it's going to clear the way for Israel to walk through on dry ground.
