There's a color wheel so each color has a weakness and a strength. You want to match up like different colors to different enemies to do better damage. The colors you match up power up your group of five heroes that charges their ultimate abilities. There is a versus mode where you play against other people's teams but you don't play directly it's not PVP the basically playing against the teams they've assembled, controlled by the AI.
