Men are not gentle, friendly creatures wishing for love. A powerful desire for aggression has to be reckoned as part of their Endowment. Aggression is a tendency that is latent in every single human individual. It is a tendency wired into our species. We became the preeminent animal on this planet precisely because of our aggressive energy supplemented by our intelligence and cunning. Our only antidote is to train ourselves to continually detach from the immediate rush of events and elevate our perspective.
