Chris gibson is the ceo and co founder of a drug discovery company called recursion. Back in medical school he was working in a lab at the university of utah, focusing on drug discovery. His lab was using that whiteboard method to develop a drug for a disease called cerebral cavernous malformation - c c m. After four or five years of studying c c m, his team thought they'd figured out what was leading to the disease. According to their whiteboard calculations, a well known collestral drug called simve staten looked like it may cure c cm.
