The Stoics' Idea of Egalitarianism
The Stoics had their own idea of egalitarianism. The Roman Empire wanted to have a rule of law over the various tribes that they were attempting to govern and were doing a good job. So, from the individual man and his family, he had his hearth. And the law started as much from that point as it did from the top of the gods.
