The Importance of Being Intimate
At 16 years old, I was already thinking about becoming a writer. So at that moment when I saw my mom, I thought, okay, one day when I become a writer, I'm going to write about my mom and it will be a dedication to her. For all her work, it would be my gift to her. About seven years after that, I became a writer. But I actually started writing about, please look after my mom, about 20 years after that. Like, as you can see, it was really hard towrite about my mom. And I think maybe that's why I couldn't continue to write. Because I was trying to be too respectful and too polite
