A sort of a cottage industry arose of debating and writing analyses on different ancient philosophers. Anda saint anselm, whom i mentioned before, was the first to undertake this, this project in the early 11 hundreds. But he really was quickly overshadowed by a new a super star who came shortly afterward - peter abilard.
