The Evidence of the Senses Is Not the Only Evidence
In all seven cases, what I said was at least partly based on the then present evidence of my senses. So evidence, the senses is not conclusive necessarily. And it's not the only evidence. In other words, those seven propositions of mind seem to be as good test cases as could have been chosen for deciding between them and an alternative that none of us ever knows for certain the existence of anything external to his own mind.
