Reincarnation - The Key Word, Egolessness
The idea of reincarnation is that one comes up by stages from one life to the other gradually sublimating oneself as it were. And what is it that enables one to rise in the scale from birth to birth? This is the key word, egolessness, erasure of ego. The inhabitants next of the heavens and the hells are simply souls between incarnations. There is no ontological distinction between a god and a human being or an animal.
